Gemstone III - 1996 to 1999

When I started playing online RPG's, I started with a hack 'n' slash called Gemstone III. I was there when this Simutronics game was free on AOL. I was there when they took GS3 to the web and started charaging $10 per account and $30 for a premium account. I was a premi since I wanted additional characters, more locker space and the choice to have a house! Looking back, it was a waste, but I was entertained while it lasted. Here are some of the characters I had and played during my time on Gemstone III.

Jezzebella
Dark Elven Sorceress

Silver hair cascades down past this dark elfs hips with penetrating violet eyes. Rather then dark complexion, the drow's family lineage has been a series of one female per generation who was born albino after a curse or blessing, depending on how one might view it, was bestowed by one of the gods. A seductress who had no qualms with using whatever or whomever it took to get her way.

She managed to leave her homeland and travel west to the land of the humans. This is where she met Silent, then later Sigmire, both dark elven rogues (Mmm.. rogues...). They spent many years together as hunting companions in the far north of Icemule. She grew quite rich while hunting the Ice Giants and Ice Manticores of the area.

She was adopted by Kailani, a wizardess, when she was still rather new to the humam city of Wehnimer's. Kailani brought her into the fold of her fairly large family as well as bringing her into the female exclusive, Coven. She spent a great deal of time getting to know her favorite uncle Thoth, *winkwink* whenever she went to visit the dwarven island he lived on. Eventually, those of her family left the lands for other interests.

Later, she and Sigmire adopted two children, Jezebel (not sure on the exact spelling), a female cleric and (name escapes me), a male wizard. During this time, she owned a home near one of the local lakes near Wehnimer's. The one with a scorched door from her son's antics. She wasnt sure what he was trying to accomplish  - but he almost burned the place down!

When Sigmire ran off with their daughter, Jezzebella disowned them both and travelled the lands with her son and his finacee until he eventually commited suicide (player left the game).

She wandered the lands for a time trying to recapture her youth ...and failed. She spent some time as a Mentor helping the newbies.

Eventually, she retired.

I played this character for 3 years and took her up to level 36. She was by far my favorite character and I had a lot of fun playing her when she was in her prime. I tried taking her out of retirement more recently, but she has lived out her IC life and no longer as fun as she used to be.

Lukcretia
Human Rogue

A human rogue with wavy short, red hair and green eyes and tanned complexion. She originally was engaged to one fellow who later had to leave the lands (I no longer remember his name but it started with an A).

She hunted with Silent, then later Sigmire (same player) for a period of time when Jezzebella was out and about. Her area of experience was in ambush and picking locks. More of a tomboy, she wore dark leather pants and a vest. There was a mischievious side to her and pulled pranks when she could but was normally rather helpful for those who had a hard time getting by. She lived in Icemule.

This character was later shelved when I no longer had time for her. I have a fetish for men who are rogues, but I wasnt as comfortable playing them. They seem like the bad boys of the fantasy world. (purrs)

Jynxie
Dwarven Empath

A dwarven woman with black hair and violet eyes, Jynxie was an empath who had difficulty speaking the common tongue. She kept to mainly to the dwarven tongue, her trade tongue and when she absolutely had to, the slurred and choppy common language she could never get a full grasp on. She spent the majority of her time helping the injured and dying. It was her lot in life and she did what she could to help those in need. She traveled extensively from Icemule to Wehnimers. Wehnimers to Rivers Rest. Rivers rest to Icemule.

For a short period, she was pulled away from her duties when a hedge-wizard, Wrinkles, a hobbit, showed her the more fun and entertaining side of life with his antics, magic and tricks. After he had left the lands soon after their meeting - having been disenchanted with the lands.

Jynxie later met a human empath, Zeneden, who showered her with love and effection. When he proposed, he had taken her to one of the shrines of the Sea God, Charl, and left 50 rose blossoms floating in the water to set the mood. They never married, but they spent a great amount of time with one another.

Zeneden was my IRL boyfriend for three years: this is where Will and I met. I didnt play this character all that much since my main character was Jezzebella.

Jasmyne
Dark Elven Bard

Black hair, violet eyes and pale lily white skin - Jasmyne is a D'nari dark elf from a land which had an opposite effect then the land the Faendryl drow hailed from. After Despona's a great undead battle's magics had penetrated the soil, it had caused those inhabitants in the area to have adverse and opposite effects.

Not wishing to be part of the warrior or cleric cast, she chose to be a bard. She left home at an early age to travel with a rogue, Olokur, who was also from her village. He accompanied her after the urging of her family to have someone to protect her. Course, he had his own reasons, as well. They went into the human lands, disgusted with the smelly species but made their wealth using both of their talents. When she performed, he would pick their pockets.

[I didnt play this character for very long and quickly got bored with playing a bard. I'll always perfer sorcery!]

[Oh! And check out this artist, Rob Thomas. He's damn good. Clicking on the picture above will take you to the link where I found his work being displayed. I was quite impressed.]

A Moment in Tyme - 2000 to Present

An old friend of mine from Gemstone III had told me about Robert Jordon and this particular series. I went out and bought the first book and enjoyed it. I bought up the rest of the books and the rest is history. When trying to find something else to play, I went out looking for a MUD with the same theme. Thats when I  found A Moment in Tyme. Jezz still remains my main character in this text world but here are a few assorted characters of mine who have graced this world.

Jezz and Sethric
midnitelovers.jpg
A brief interlude.

Jezz and Sethric

A brief... very brief period of time, Jezz traveled and spent time with Sethric. They started off as traveling companions, something odd about him that he could 'sniff' out a crime. During their travels, brigands fired upon them without word, taking her to be prisoner and leaving Sethric nearly dead, strung up on a tree with bolts in either shoulder, bleeding from his wounds to die a slow painful death.

During her captivity, Jezz used her talent in Dreamwalking to find Sethric, to glimmer hints of where she had been taken so he could come find her. It took three weeks for him to heal by a local wisdom and multitudes of Dreams before he was finally capable to find where Jezz had been taken: A dark cave, stripped, beaten and abused. He managed to off about a handful of the brigands that had originally attacked them - the others had left the area in search of more prey.

A torid love affair insued, Jezz suffering from delusions, the 'damsel-in-distress' thinking her 'knight-in-shining-armor' had come for her. That lasted for as long as it took him to find another lover. She hasnt seen him since.

Sabrina in Dreams - Sin in all her glory
puritysin.jpg
Gwen in Dreams - Purity in her innocence

Sin & Purity
A Dream version of Sabrina and Gwen.

Sin is Purity's opposite in every way. The ying to her yang. Sin is far from being innocent. Raven locks cascade down her red complexioned back, tiny horns sticking up from the crown of her head while a serpintine tail whips from side to side. Gracing over her curves is black, tightly woven mesh which slims over her hips and down to midthigh. Her temper matches her physique. Deadly.

Purity is in the image of an angelic being, white feathery wings resting against her back, blond tresses trailing down her back and over her shoulder and dark eyes. A dress of diaphonous white slims over her curves to end just at midthigh. She is virginal and innocent. Pure.

Jasmyne

MM3 - Briefly played this Aes Sedai character who bonded Gedren. It was short lived experience when Gedren's player and I decied to bring back Valaur and Jezz.

I did bring her back as an Aes Sedai of the Yellow Ajah, she eventually bonded former Captain of the Guard, Esrahd Ishear. She is Saldaean seductress and has a sister named Rayenia, a Grey sister of the White Tower. She has an extensive background. Click on the link for her.

With the resurgance on the MiT MUD, I've brought Jasmyne back to RP with Esrahd.

Jasmyne Sedai

Lukcretia

Daughter of Shiance and step daughter of Vallyn, this Alteran young woman occupied herself with her own selfish conquests. Black, wavy hair swept down to midway down her back, chocolate eyes under dark lashes

Sorcha
Aiel maiden of about 14 summers. She has firey red hair cropped short with a braided tail down her back and piercing mixed colored eyes. One sapphire blue and the other emerald green. She is headstrong and opinionated. She seems amused by acts of violence and follows the car'a'poofter [tm]

I havent done much with this persona.

Jaenacia

A wisdom who trained at the White Tower for a short time but was kicked out after Jasmyne has let it slip that the Cairhinean young woman was pregnant with a trainee's child. She left and returned to her parents - shamed. She has a dislike for Aes Sedai and tend to avoid them at all cost.

2001 to Present

Just a couple characters I have at a MUSH. Just came upon it one day and have been playing since. I would rather not reveal which MUSH this is so I can keep my identity unknown. *big grin*

'brette, an empathic innocent
pucksdelight.jpg

'brette

'Brette is an sylvan-fae who was raised by a fallen arch angel after her village was destroyed when she was a wee lass. After spending many years with him as a servent, he disappeared one day after tragedy had struck her. Losing all memory of everything prior to waking, 'Brette is on her own for the first time.

A scarlette tressed beauty with exotic emerald eyes with an innocent quality of perfection in her every curve. Winged with goassmer appendages An empath who can view the souls of those she comes in contact with as well as use animal telepathy to speak with the animals around her. She is most at home in the forests with the belief that everything has a soul.

Now double the image and you have the twins...
dawn.jpg
[I cant remember the artists name - the link takes you to where it was found.]

K & S

Twins with silver hair reaching past their buttocks, violet eyes gazing out under thick lashes, these two femme fatales know how to wrap a man around their fingers and bend him to their will. Each possesses some mage abilities and mind magic. Thus far, in concert, they have altered a panther to take on manshape among other things in an experiment.

Their mother had left them in a brothel and fled for her life ahead of a man who was determined to make the woman his own - anyway possible. She never returned for her children and their father never knew of their exsistance. Now K and S use their unearthly good looks and prowess to carve their own fate.

MMOs

When not roleplaying on MiT, I have played on various MMOs, the longest running was on WoW. Here's the list:

EverQuest
(1999-ish)

I don't recall the character name, but she was a dark elf? necromancer. She was hated by all the npc's outside of her hometown. I loved playing her.

Then my boyfriend at the time wanted me to play a halfling with him. I HATED it. He kept pushing me to play something other than my necromancer, and eventually I stopped playing altogether.

Shortly after I found MiT.

World of Warcraft
(November 2005- November 2010)

I played Warcraft from vanilla to just a month or two after cataclysm came out. Thoroughly bored with it. I went to other games. My mains were:

  • Rhunae, a dark elf druid. During vanilla wow, she was dps and tank, as needed. She continued to be dps during BC, but also had gear for tank and heals. During LK, she went to heals completely. Since druids were nerfed for healing in Cata, I went boomkin with her.
  • Zephyrina, a dark elf shadow priest.

I also had a handful of other characters across several servers. But the main server I played on was Scryers. I also had a bunch of toons on Silver Hand, the server I started with before Blizzard requested players to volunteer to move to Scryers.

Star Wars of the Old Republic
(December 2010 - Febraury 2011)

I played Rhunae, the sith sorceress. I got bored towards the end, especially when all my friends stopped playing. I tried to play on the jedi side with other friends, but I got bored faster.

Rift
(February -March 2011)

I played Zhaerita. I dont even remember what type of character she was. The only reason I know her name is because I took screen shots. ;)

Tera
(April - August 2012)

I have a number of toons, but the one I play the most is Sabina.(something or other). I got bored when all my friends stopped playing. However, the world is beautiful and I liked the lore.

Dungeons and Dragons Online - Periodically

My husband plays DDO, so I have characters on the same server that we occassionally play together. I have a drow wizard named Kartek that I play the most.
