At each guard post, the Aes Sedai flashed her ring, the golden
one with the serpant biting its tail. It wouldnt have been necessary if not for the bedraggled look of the woman. She was
clean, but her clothing was worn and in seriously rough shape. She was naturally thin, but she looked unnaturally so from
lack of regularly sustanance. Hobbled to the staff in hand, she used it get her to her destination. Upon reaching the square,
Jezz looked up and around, her lips forming a thin line. [Jezz]
Jaiana glances up from the fountain as Jezz steps into the
square, her fingers plucking absently at the lute resting in her lap, not really playing any particular tune at all. She squints
ever so slightly, as if fighting the glare off the white paving stones, but finally rises from her seat to approach the woman,
clearly not recognizing her at all. "You look a bit lost, is there something, perhaps, I could help you
with?"
Blinking, Jezz shifts her emerald gaze to the voice, "I'm home." She rasps softly, her voice scratchy from lack of use. She pauses, leaning heavily on the
staff, trying to regain her strength to either move on, or sit down. "I've been walking for too long."
[Jezz]
"What I want to know is why she's half
falling over and nobody's seen fit to either Heal her, or carry her to her bed whether she wants it or not."
Like a desert is dry, Svoran's voice is harsh and sudden. He was on his way into the city for an errand, but one look
at Jezz's arrival, one glance watching the way she was walking - nay, relying on that staff, and he's changing plans to include
taking care of Aes Sedai whether Aes Sedai want care taken. [Svoran]
The Petitioners Square seems to have a bit of activity which
peaks Rayenia's curiosities. The Gray ventures further into the square. "Sister," she
nods as she greets Jaiana, and then glances to Svoran and Jezz in turn. [Rayenia]
Jaiana blinks a bit at Jezz's response, barely acknowledging Svoran's
arrival at all, let alone what he says, as she steps closer to peer intently at Jezz's face, her lips curving into a concerned
frown. "Light and Dark, Jezz ... is that you?" she says softly, motioning Rayenia closer as she
slips her lute back up over her shoulder, "Someone told me you were dead."
Rayenia watches as Jaiana moves towards the travel weary woman.
When she motions to her, Rayenia moves over to join Jaiana and Jezz. (Boy I'm gonna typo one of those names tonight!) The
Gray arrives to hear only the last part of Jaiana's statement, the part where Jezz was rumored to have been dead.
Glancing over toward Svoran, her scowl gives him indication she will
have no one laying hands on her. To Jaiana's words, something crosses over her emerald eyes, a deep sadness when she swallows
hard, pushing that sorrow back down again. "I wish I were. Or at least been able to save even one of them."
Sighing with a shake of her head, the braid shimmering down her back, "But yes, I'm still here."
[Jezz]
Hearing that a sister 'might' have been dead, and now is suddenly
here at the White Tower... this is a bee drawn to a flower in full bloom. Peering at Jezz, his dark eyes fully fixed
on her now, and hovering behind the sisters, Svoran's goal is to listen to every last bloody word coming out of Aes Sedai
mouths. It'll all get consumed, digested, absorbed, and filed away for later, for good use of course. For now,
though, he's directing a flat stare at the returned Green, making it clear without words that his previous comment of "falling
over" isn't going to be shelved for long. [Svoran]
A deep sadness settles in Jaiana's eyes as she gently offers
a hand towards Jezz, patiently waiting for the battered woman to take it of her own accord rather than force it upon her.
"Then lets count our blessings where we can, Sister." she says firmly, casting a brief warning
glance at Svoran before adding, "Shall we find you a place to relax and get cleaned up? I'm sure there
are many who will want to hear you story when you are ready to tell it." [Jaiana]
Recognition lights in Rayenia's eyes, "Jezz.."
she begins, "Light! You should rest.." she glances to Jaiana as she's the Healing expert,
and that's when it hits her, Jezz's words, she wasn't able to save them. "Oh Sister, I am sorry."
she whispers. Following Jaiana's lead she moves to the opposite side of the returned Green, prepared to help support
her. [Rayenia]
"Not much to tell, Sister." Jezz comments,
looking at the offered hand and trying to determine if she has enough strength to drag some of her weight off the staff, "We were stationed in Kandor..." (because I cant recall where Haven was) "And running
patrol against trollocs. It gets a little foggy after that..." the Green sister pursing her lips in thought to remember,
without dredging too much up, "Separated.. and felt each one..." She pauses again to take a deep
breath. "I have no idea how I ended up in Fal Dara." [Jezz]
"Perhaps another member of the patrol took you
to Fal Dara?" Rayenia wears an expression of concern. [Rayenia]
Jaiana reaches out to gently take Jezz by the elbow, offering
the young green a surprisingly strong arm to lean on and easing the staff from her hand, if she'll allow it, simply to make
it less complicated to maneuver. "Don't trouble yourself with such trivialities, Sister ... you're here
now, we'll make sure you're taken care of properly. What's happened has happened, but tomorrow's always another day."
A small shrug, "I really don't know, Rayenia, but the inn
and food was paid for until I could get my feet back under me." As Jaiana takes her hand and her crutch, Jezz dips
slightly, but adjusts her weight, though there is a physical efford not to add too much weight against the Yellow sister.
"It's the reason for my return, sister, in part, to semi-retire to my room and read books and teaches
novices." [Jezz]
Rayenia nods in agreement to Jaiana's words. She offers silently to take the
staff from the Yellow so that she can have two hands to help Jezz. "But first, I think you should
rest, have some tea and something to eat." Teach Novices? Light!
Jaiana pats Jezz's hand gently as she passes the staff off to Rayenia before
starting to guide the staggering green towards the tower proper, "Rayenia is right, lets get your priorities
straight first, my girl. Lets get you rested and fed before you fuss with the girls. Right now, you'd likely as not send the
newer ones running for the hills, you look such a fright."
“And after such a long journey more than a day or
so of rest is in order," Rayenia adds. "The Novices have plenty of things to keep themselves
busy, they can wait." As Jezz and Jaiana begin to move she keeps in step with them, prepared to help stabilize
or grab doors, whatever Jaiana needs. [Rayenia]
Nodding, allowing the two sisters to take care of things. Not like she was able
to take care of herself recently, "Oh, I had no intention of dealing with the girls today, or even tomorrow."
The Green smiles slightly, shaking her head, "But tea sounds wonderful. Thank you, ladies."
[Jezz]
Still frowning with obvious concern, Jaiana manages a slight nod
of agreement with Jezz's words, a touch of a smile starting to settle on her face, "I'll send someone
to fetch tea from my rooms, I think I know just the right blend to help settle your nerves." she offers kindly, watching
Jezz walk with a subtle eye for possible injuries, in addition to the general exhaustion. [Jaiana]
The Green Sitting Room
This room is covered with several green area rugs.
The walls are done in light green, which contrasts well with the long red couches. Low, dark wood tables sit before the couches.
A large fireplace dominates the room, it's gold gilded edges and white marble gleaming in the light. There are portraits of
the wall of past military generals.

Rayenia Sidona [Grey Ajah] is here. (standing)
Jaiana Di'ovranni-Alai Aneiya Riordan [Glee] is here. (standing)
What doesn't kill you, only makes you stronger, right? So the mantra goes inside
Jezz's head, in a chorus of three voices. Jaiana is stronger than Jezz took her for originally, or she is as meek as a mouse.
She hasn't seen a reflection of herself, so she stumbles in shock when she does see her gaunt face reflecting back at her.
Otherwise, Jezz insists she doesn't need to be healed, instead to go to the Green sitting rooms. [Jezz]
Rayenia really wishes that Jezz would have let Jaiana see to
her first but, once she's made her mind up changing it for her is impossible. Instead of protesting Rayenia hastens
her step to open doors ahead of the Green and Yellow.
After watching Jezz walk for a bit, Jaiana seems quite content
to take Jezz towards the Green Ajah's rooms as she requests, her general demeanor easing from her earlier concern into an
almost comfortable companionship, not seeming too troubled by either the staggering green's reactions to her own appearance
or to Rayenia's unspoken fussing. She gives the Gray a polite nod as she holds the door open, easing Jezz through and over
to a spot on the couch near the fireplace. "Now then, shall we see about that tea?" she offers
with a kind smile, making sure Jezz is settled comfortably before removing her support. [Jaiana]
Rayenia rests the staff just inside the door. She quietly
closes the door to provide some privacy, the whole of the Tower does not need to be here pestering Jezz.
Deposited on the couch, Jezz pulls her feet up and under her
and drags her braid over one shoulder to avoid sitting on it. "Tea would be wonderful, thank you Jaiana."
She offers a warm smile to Rayenia, who has been fussing also, but she seems to relax and melt into the couch once she is
sitting down. [Jezz]
Rayenia is quite used to assisting, after all her sibling is
a Yellow. Once she sees that Jezz is settled she takes up a seat on one of the large red couches. *afk a second,
dogs want to go out*
Jaiana smiles gently and nods to Jezz, stepping back a bit
to give the seated green a bit of space, then turns to the door, absently brushing a hand across her lute to check for it's
presence out of habit. "Give me just a moment to send someone to fetch a few things from my room. If you
need anything else, just ask." she says gently, leaning over to give Jezz's hand a friendly squeeze before heading
for the door.
Rayenia nods to Jaiana's words. A moment after Jaiana
leaves the Gray moves to sit beside Jezz. "It is so good to see you again, I am glad that you are
safe."
Leaning her head back against the couch back, Jezz's eyes close
momentarily, but they fly back open at what is seen on the dark side of her eyelid. Smiling, Jezz shifts so she can converse
more easily with Rayenia, "Thank you, its good to see you, too. A fellow sister." [Jezz]
"So much has changed in such a short time,"
Rayenia gestures vaguely to the Tower as if it were a scale model before them on the table. "Our
Amyrlin is from the Green, she is young but she is strong." Having an eye for braids, and likely having practiced
many on Jezz's hair when they were both younger, she glances at the Green's braid and nods approvingly. [Rayenia]
"I vaguely heard about there being a new
Amyrlin. Who is she?" Jezz asks the Grey, her hands fidgeting with her ring, as though not used to it being on, and
reminding herself that it is there. [Jezz]
Rayenia nods to Jezz. "Egwene al'Vere."
Gently the Gray rests her hand on the Green's reassuringly and smiles.
With a few more figetting turns of the ring, Jezz smiles and
folds her hands into her lap. "I don't believe I heard of her. Young, you said? Was she with the Salidar
sisters? I had heard about the split.." her lips thin slightly, "but I was busy with my own duties
at the time to fuss with it. Then.. so.. yeah." [Jezz]
Jaiana returns a moment later, humming softly to herself and
balancing a small box in one hand as she carries a small, cast iron, teapot in the other, just big enough for roughly three
cups of tea. Three cups dangle expertly from her fingers as she steps back into the room, crossing to the table in front of
the couch where Jezz sits. "Here we are..." she says, offering the box to Jezz with a gentle smile,
"Pick one that smells nice, I promise they all taste wonderful."
"She was," Rayenia draws her hands
to her lap and folds them together, her right thumb and middle finger twist at her serpent ring a few times. "I did not leave to join the Salidar Sisters when the split happened, there were many other things that required
my attention." She stops fiddling with her ring and rests her hands as well. As Jaiana returns the aroma
of wonderful teas follows her. [Rayenia]
Grinning, Jezz peers into the box with a glance over at Rayenia
as she fidgets, but then the Green is distracted by the sweet aroma. Fingertips brows over the selection until she finds one
with mint and chamomile, and tugs the packet out to bring it to her nose to inhale. "This one, should
help me sleep as well. Thank you, Jaiana." With a nod to Rayenia, she comments, "I was in Kandor,
and had too many things keeping us..." she clears her throat, "..busy." [Jezz]
Jaiana continues humming to herself as she lets Jezz pour over
the teas in her box, setting up the teapot and heating it with a delicate, subtle, thread of fire while she sets the cups
down on the table next to the warming cast iron. "You're quite welcome, Jezz. I hope it works well for
you." she says gently, smiling towards the two, "Don't let me interrupt your conversation, please."
Rayenia smiles warmly to Jaiana (even through the lag from
beyond she just had). "Where was I.. oh yes, I also had to find my literal sister."
She shakes her head a bit, "Jaiana, do you mind if I take tea as well?"
"Then you found her?" Jezz asks,
bringing the sachet of mint and chamomile back to her nose, but then offering it to Jaiana to drop in her cup. "Where
did she run off to? My mind wanders right now, pardon me, but my recollection is vague. Yellow, wasnt she? A troublemaker,
if I recall at all." Quite the opposite of Jezz, who was much more reserved. [Jezz]
Jaiana laughs softly and smiles at Rayenia with a nod
as she says, "Of course, Sister. I brought three cups after all, feel free to choose your own, or I can
brew a whole pot." A flicker of a thoughtful frown touches on her face as the mention of another yellow, but she chooses
not to interrupt just yet, simply listening.
Rayenia nods to Jezz, "Yes, I did."
As Jaiana mentions creating one pot instead of individual cups she nods, "I think one pot would be best,
tea shared in friendship is always best."
Agreeing, Jezz nods her head. "Just happy
I chose one that was delightful to all. Although, for me it was just to help with sleep. Unless you have a little bit of sleepwell
root. Sleep has been.. elusive." The Green's eyes darken, that well of stark sadness haunting the depths. Giving herself
a shake, it recedes, Jezz smiling wanely. [Jezz]
Jaiana smiles gently, her voice calm as she says "I
understand, Jezz. I can have some sent to your rooms later this evening, if you need." Satisfied at the heat of the
water, she holds out her hand to take the chosen flavor from Jezz and tuck it into the teapot, letting the tea steep and send
out wonderful aromas.
Rayenia closes her eyes, inhaling the aroma of the tea.
She smiles and opens her eyes, returning from her happy moment of tea smelling. "I think that once
you're able to rest in your own bed it will also help. I know that traveling, Inn's do try to keep the most comfortable
beds but they never compare to home."
Smiling in gratitude, Jezz nods to Jaiana, "Yes,
please. I would appreciate whatever you have to spare." To Rayenia's comment, Sabrina's eyes flash a dark green. Jezz
quickly ducks her head, closing her eyes and schools her reaction. "If it was so simple, Rayenia..."
She begins softly, lifting her head to glance over at the Gray. "The loss is.. indescribable. It will
be a long time before I bond another." As an added aside, "If ever." [Jezz]
Jaiana's smile falters slightly, but she offers no other words,
pouring the cups of tea and handing the first to Jezz before passing one to Rayenia. Just as she finishes the final cup for
herself, there's a soft knock at the door, a young runner dashing in to address Jaiana with a few soft words of request, and
the yellow sedai simply sighs to herself and offers the two other sedai a slight salute of her tea cup. "It
seems I'm needed elsewhere, sisters ... forgive me for taking my leave. Enjoy the tea and feel free to fix another pot, if
you wish." she says, then takes a sip from her cup as she heads for the door, following the messenger at a brisk pace.
Rayenia nods to Jaiana in understanding. "Thank
you Sister." The Gray sits quietly for a moment, holding her tea and simply inhaling it's lovely scent.
Taking the tea in hand, Jezz nods to Jaiana as she leaves,
then brings the cup to her lips to inhale the wonderful aroma. "We should talk, Rayenia. But here is not
the place." She murmurs over the steaming liquid, taking a sip and allowing it to warm her from the inside. "Would you mind terribly helping me to my room? We can talk more there." [Jezz]
"I do not mind at all," Rayenia
says. She takes a sip of her tea and smiles, the minty chamomile has always been one of her favorites. [Rayenia]

The Return of
a Lost Sister
And so a bedraggled woman
walks through the Tower, stopped by each Guardsman. And yet each time she continued onward with but a flick of her wrist.
A golden serpent ring is all she needs to continue on, despite worn clothes and a thin, almost emaciated appearance.
And so it was that Jezz do Jaeyen a'Daemener, Aes
Sedai of the Green Ajah, escorted by none of her Gaidin, returned once more to the White Tower.
