The Amyrlin Seat's Office

This office is spacious and comfortable, with several desks of polished wood for those civil servants who work directly with the Amyrlin each day on public matters.  A larger desk is situated near the door, where the Keeper is the first to greet visitors.  At the farthest end of the room, surrounded by tall, polished wooden walls, before a set of three tall, arched windows, is the desk the Amyrlin Seat uses when she attends to matters of a public nature.  On top of the walls, numerous potted plants add an additional screen of privacy.

The walls of the Amyrlin's public office are paneled in rich cherry wood, and decorated with portraits and tapestries.  The floors are of smooth, polished white marble with alternating patterns in the colors of the seven Ajahs to form a spiral such as that on the banner of Tar Valon.

A statue of a woman in a flowing gown rests against the wall.

* Svoran Beridar [WD|Master of Arms|Gun Show] is here. (standing)

* (NPC) Kharys, the Maiden played by Raeda [FDM|RedWaters|Goshien] is an older Maiden with a shock of platinum blonde hair coming out in a tail from under her shoufa and several scars on her face. She has her standard-issue triple spears on her back. (standing)

* Rasim [Sovin Nai|Bent Peak|Daryne] is here. (standing)

* Egwene al'Vere [Watcher of the Seals|Flame of Tar Valon] is wearing the Amylrin's stole and seated at her desk in her public office. (standing)

* Jezz do Jaeyen a’Daemener [Green] is here. (standing)

Outside the White Tower, the weather is still, the world still clinging to the last remnants of winter this far north.  Light flurries fall from a leaden sky beyond the three arched windows in front of which Egwene is seated.  A carefully-placed screen of potted plants provides a private nook for the Amyrlin to hold audiences in this, her public office.  The young Amyrlin is clothed today in a gown of pale green silk slashed with blue in the skirts, and the seven-striped stole of the Amyrlin Seat is draped about her slender shoulders.    [Egwene]

While she waits for the people she summoned, Egwene is busy reviewing a document, her eyes turned down to the page.  An Accepted stands on duty nearby, ready to tend to the Amyrlin's needs.  Near the door, Silviana Brehon sits at the desk of the Keeper of the Chronicles, the Keeper's slim stole draped about her shoulders, a shocking red, signaling the Ajah from which she was raised.  The former Mistress of Novices under Elaida is busy reviewing paperwork as well.  [Egwene]

(OoC)-> Egwene says, 'ACk, sorry.  The weather is still -chilly-.'

Svoran licks Egwene playfully.

The Master of Arms strived very hard to be one of the, if not the first to arrive.  Because the weather is still chill, he's showing a sense of decorum in how he's dressed, bundled up against the cold in thick woolens as he is.  Slightly fine woolens; he never really got around to getting anything that would be considered luxurious in cut of quality as far as material and make go.  His boots are perfectly blacked to an almost unhealthy gleam, though, despite the trek to the Tower proper from where he manages things.  He'll offer the Keeper a proper, if quiet and nearly terse respect and identify himself.  Doubtless Silviana knows why he's here, and Beridar is content to leave it at that as he awaits for... the rest.  [Svoran]

Once the summons had been sent, Jezz sought out her aiel guests. Upon finding Rasim and his aiel compananion, and brisk pleasantry aside, the Green sister guides them through the tower halls, up the stairs reaching up high into the tower. At some point, assumingly meeting up with the grouchy and irritable Svoran, she really wasnt that far behind him! Herself, she is dressed wearing a green dress (a dress for once!) with high neckline and lace at the neck and cuffs, denoting her original home country, and of course, the green shawl of her Ajah. Inclining her head to Silviana, she indicates the aiel with her.   [Jezz]

Rasim doesn't seem to understand that the wetlanders are all dressed up for the occassion, let alone why.  He follows behind Jezz Sedai in his normal cadin'sor and soft, supple boots armed only with his long, curved belt knife.  A Maiden accompanies him through the elaborate halls of the seat of Aes Sedai power, and he looks politely interested in the architecture, tapestries, and other frills that decorate the place.  His stride, expression, and bearing suggest he is completely at ease in this impressive setting, though that may just be ignorance of the situation at hand.

Kharys moves alongside Rasim, not quite half a pace back from him, as the Aiel follow along with the Aes Sedai through the halls of the White Tower to the Amyrlin's offices.  Her keen, pale green eyes peer out from under shockingly blonde eyebrows and lashes, the bright platinum color seeming even paler than it normally would against the tan of her face and the wetlands-adapted browns of her cadin'sor.  The expression on the older Maiden's scarred face would not be unfriendly, precisely, but neither is it particularly warm, and as she stalks on near-silent feet through the corridors, her focus is split between their destination and their path.  On approach to the doors leading to the Amyrlin's office, she stops when Jezz and Rasim do, waiting with patience.  She passes her eyes over the Master of Arms, giving him a guick, searching once-over, then apparently dismissing him - as she does for the Accepted and the Keeper. [NPC played by Raeda]

As those summoned begin to arrive, Silviana sets aside her paperwork, and glances up at Svoran as he arrives first.  She gives him a curt nod of the head in return, and rises from her seat.  She adjusts the slim red stole about her shoulders, and waits for the others to arrive first.  Her eyes take them in briskly, offering a polite inclination of the head to Jezz, gaze raking over the Aiel with a flicker of interest.  "Good.  You are all here, I assume?"  She moves around her desk.  "Follow me.  The Amyrlin is waiting."  The Red sister moves toward the back of the large office, to where the potted plants are, screening the Amyrlin's desk.  This is, in fact, not Egwene's private study, but rather, a more public office that has been set up on the lower floor of the Tower.  Once the Red Sister disappears behind the screen of potted plants, she can be heard to announce Jezz, Svoran, and the Aiel.  Once she does so, she withdraws and gestures with a hand.  "She will see you now."  She steps out of the way, and returns to her desk.  There are several chairs situated in front of Egwene's desk.  Egwene sets her paperwork aside and settles herself in her seat, waiting.  [Egwene]

Svoran will play nice, if one can really call it that, with his expression still in that rather stoic cast.  It was one of the first things he learned from his teachers, as far as appearances were concerned: the look.  It's not something he typically softens, either, even here, perhaps especially here.  The simple fact this is happening in the first place is arguably reason enough for him to stay in that stern countenance, which the boys gossip about being his only expression, of course.  Still, he'll let Jezz go first (she started this whole mess), sidestepping to let the Aes Sedai through, but he'll be right behind her whether or not the Aiel appreciate that.

Once they are announced, Jezz glances to the two aiel with her offering each a brief smile before turning to enter the office. As she passes Svoran her gaze hardens, watching him briefly, since he is the cause for them being here in the first place. Illogical and grouchy man that he is. Pausing once inside the door, Jezz curtsies to the Amyrlin, her emerald eyes surveying the woman briefly before dropping a hair. She politely greets Egwene, "Mother, thank you for seeing us." She steps aside to stand before one of the chairs, but does not sit, waiting on protocal.   [Jezz]

Rasim follows in after Jezz and Svoran.  He simply pauses a beat as the Master of Arms cuts in front of him, holding out a hand for Kharys to stop for a moment and let the surly lout go first.  Nothing shows on his otherwise placid face.  He does flash a few gestures in the Aiel hand language for her benefit, and it causes a slight uptick at the corner of his mouth, the little hint of a smile.  He then follows in behind the rest and looks at Egwene, that hint fading in place of formality.  "I see you Egwene al'Vere, Amyrlin Seat of the Aes Sedai, Roofmistress of the White Tower.  I am Rasim, Sovin Nai of the Bent Peak Daryne."  He makes no gesture of obeisance, but simply waits for Kharys to introduce herself and Egwene to respond.

Kharys gives merely the flicker of one platinum eyebrow at the formalized introduction ceremony that will, apparently, grant the ragtag group entrance to see Egwene al'Vere.  Svoran's childish efforts to shoulder in behind the Aes Sedai merit not even a glance from the Maiden - he may feel he has something to prove here, but Kharys does not appear to share that attitude, let alone dignify it from the Warder.  The older Maiden's hands twitch at her sides after Rasim's fall again, but she refrains from bringing them before her, apparently schooling herself to stillness (and thus silence) as she moves in step with her spear-brother.  Much as she would when meeting with any Roofmistress, the Maiden nods politely at Egwene and offers a very rare, very faint, very brief twitch of her lips upward in recognition of her standing as she intones after the Sovin Nai, "I see you, Egwene al'Vere," in a surprisingly smooth voice that sounds as if it should belong to a much younger, prettier woman, "Amyrlin Seat of the Aes Sedai, Roofmistress of the White Tower.  I am Kharys, Far Dareis Mai of the Bitter Water Taarded."  With that, her gentle voice once again falls silent and the rest of her remains perfectly still. [NPC played by Raeda]

As the visitors troop in, Egwene rises from her seat gracefully, pushing a lock of dark hair over one shoulder.  Her features remain smooth as she studies Svoran, and then Jezz, to whom she gives a slight nod.  "Daughter," she says in a grave tone.  "I am pleased to see you have returned to the Tower safely.  I understand you were away for quite some time.  I hope all is well."  She lets her eyes linger for a moment, only a moment, over Jezz's gaunt features with what might be a hint of concern, before she turns her attention to the Aiel, and gives them a grave nod in turn, her expression never wavering as she regards Rasim.  "I see you Rasim, of the Bent Peak Daryne."  She nods her head to Kharys as well.  "I see you, Kharys of the Bitter Water Taardad.   My water is yours and the shade of Tar Valon welcomes you both."  She offers a faint smile then, and she gestures to the seats arranged in front of her desk.  "Please, be seated if you wish, all of you."  [Egwene]

Svoran will stand, it seems, with a murmur of appreciation all the same.  If it makes him look like he's here to be punished by the equivalent of the Mistress of Novices, so be it.  But he is going to stand so that the Aiel are visible, if out of the corner of his eye, shifting slightly to keep the pair from shenanigans, even if it's unlikely.  The Amyrlin is sitting /right there/, after all, and he hardly knows anything about that particular bond between the Aiel and she.  He also appears to have nothing to say initially, as well, or rather, he's not going to jump right into the matter.  He'll let one of the females do that.

Acknowledging Egwene's words with a flicker.. something.. behind her chipped emerald gaze, Jezz responds quietly, "Thank you, Mother. We were stationed in Chachin a long while." In part to explain why she was neither at the White Tower or in Salidar during the split. She was one of a third of all Aes Sedai who did not take part in it. Smoothing out the verdant brocade skirts, she lowers herself into the chair, sitting only at the edge, "If not for more recent events, I would be there still. But I made it home." She arranges herself into the chair, lightly brushing out the lace at her wrists before settling them in her lap.  [Jezz]

Rasim nods once in thanks to Egwene's words of welcome, and then takes a look at the chair provided, a finely carved one with plush padding.   He then turns back to the assembly with a small smile playing at the edges of his mouth.  He says nothing, but neither does he sit.  His eyes sweep over the three wetlanders, lingering slightly longer on the dour Master of Arms than the others, but he otherwise remains completely still and waits for the Aes Sedai to explain why he is here.

Kharys once more shows a simple twitch of one eyebrow in what might be mild surprise at the accuracy of Egwene's greeting, and on the offer of a chair, her right hand lifts very subtly in a simple twitch of her fingers.  As Rasim chooses to remain standing, the Maiden does likewise, letting the Sovin Nai take the lead.  Her scarred tan face is impassive and her pale green eyes watch Egwene, her gaze resting firmly but lightly on the young Roofmistress.  If the delay in getting to the point of all this ceremony bothers her, she does not show it. [NPC played by Raeda]

Egwene resumes her own seat once those who will sit have done so.  She adjusts the seven-striped stole about her shoulders, and then folds her hands in front of her on the surface of the cherry wood writing table.  Her gaze pauses on Svoran briefly, then settles on Jezz as she explains briefly about her absence.  She inclines her head slightly.  "So, let us not dally over pleasantries all day."  Her gaze turns to Svoran and settles there.  "I understand Jezz Sedai has offered the Aiel an opportunity to train with our Gaidin, and that you objected.  Please tell me your reasons for such an objection," she says calmly, giving nothing of her own opinion on the matter for the time being.

*Yay!*  Go Egwene!!!  Rasim cheers her on.

Egwene blushes.

You nod sagely.

Svoran snickers softly.

(OoC)-> Svoran says, 'Well, you see Mother, they keep wagging their spears about in public.  It's inappropriate for the students to see that.  That's why.'

Svoran looks around and whistles innocently.

(OoC)-> Rasim says, 'Are you jealous of my spear, Fabio?'

Egwene snickers softly.

You snicker softly.

(OoC)-> Raeda says, 'He probably should be.'

(OoC)-> Svoran says, 'It's not very thick.'

(OoC)-> Egwene says, 'He has spear envy!'

Svoran winks at Rasim.

(OoC)-> Jezz says, 'Well that explains everything'

Raeda pokes Svoran in the ribs.

(OoC)-> Jezz says, 'he's probably gonna truct'

Svoran sticks his tongue out, catching a few flies in the process.

You snicker softly.

"My objections, Mother, pertain more to the feelings of others than anything else, particularly those even here in Tar Valon - sisters, citizens, whomever - that feel the sting of the Aiel War rather keenly.  My only real concern is that I don't see how this can possibly go smoothly when you consider the potential for resentment that is lurking in the minds of numerous people, some of which will undoubtedly take any excuse to cause a fuss.  I won't invite disharmony into the Tower, especially after what recently happened.  I have no objections if any of the sisters Warders themselves, or those we find fit to be such, want to go get stabbed with spears and do the same, but those still in training mean exactly that: they're still learning how to be what they're here to be, and that means controlling themselves regardless of their personal feelings on the matter.  The part I find the most fascinating, though, is that this matter was brought to you directly after I said no in the first place, and that's what /I/ want to hear."  [Svoran]

(OoC)-> Rasim says, 'Don't hold back, now.  Tell us all how you really feel.  ;)'

(OoC)-> Svoran says, 'I'll do that in the sweat tent.'

Svoran stares at the sky.

Svoran runs away in utter terror!

Jezz remains silent, allowing Svoran to rant and rave and have his tantrum. The Green Sister merely schools her features, head marginally bowed in attentive listening and readying her own rebuttal. Not even Sabrina is allowed out. Not today. Once he is finished, Jezz looks up at Egwene, her voice pleasantly composed, "With a 'small handful of aiel' at our door, it would only be appropriate for you, Mother, to know who is knocking. As such, it would be up to you to decide how to greet our guests and entertain their requests, whatever they may be. The Master of Arms," Jezz glances over toward him without any discirnible emotion, "is, of course, entitled to his opinion. And should he be vocal about said opinion..." Her gaze returning to Egwene, "then he should also be present in presenting our guests to you."

Rasim smiles appreciatively at the Amyrlin's business-like tone and turns to listen to Svoran's answer.  His face is sober and contemplative all through the man's lengthy diatribe, and then again through Jezz's more diplomatic counter.  Having not been addressed since greetings, he says nothing, but once again flashes a few hand signs at Kharys.  His features themselves are the picture of stoicism and might well be carved from stone, but anyone who's very perceptive and looking closely will see a spark of amusement in his light eyes.

When Egwene dispenses with the ceremony and gets to the heart of the matter, Kharys gives the barest fraction of a smile, her pale green eyes glittering for a moment before her expression returns to neutral.  When the Warder begins to speak, the tall blonde peers over at him, turning only her head, listening to his words without a flicker of emotion.  Her blank look does not change at all, but rather than being simply unreadable, it is the flat stare of a woman watching a man degrade himself willingly in public - part embarrassment, part pity, part revulsion.  As the wetlander falls silent, Kharys glances at Rasim's fingers and flashes her own briefly in return.  When Jezz offers her opinion of the matter, a single blink of the Maiden's pale green eyes is all it takes to alter the calm gaze from the hard flat stare she leveled at Svoran to a more neutral look.  [Raeda]

Egwene studies Svoran with perceptive green eyes as he rattles off his reasons for objecting to the arrangement.  Her features remain smooth and unreadable, however.  She may have been Aes Sedai for only a short time, but she seems to have mastered the technique.  Once he has had his say, she inclines her head slightly.  "Thank you for voicing your opinion, as our Master of Arms.  I will address your concerns after I have heard the others," she says impartially.  She turns her attention to Jezz, then.  She listens to the Green Sister's comments, her expression grave.  Apparently she takes the entire matter quite seriously.  "If it is up to me to decide how to greet our guests and entertain their requests, Daughter," she says slowly in a tone of vague reprimand, "then would it not have been more prudent to bring the matter to me first, rather than simply making the decision?  You are Aes Sedai, it is true, and as you are of the Green Ajah, naturally your wisdom in matters such as these is valued.  But you do not command the Master of Arms in matters pertaining to the ways in which our Gaidin are trained.  This was not your decision to make, and there are other concerns we must take into account."    [Egwene]

She pauses, glancing to the two Aiel.  "That said, I would like to hear what our Aiel friends have to say on the matter."  Her tone and mannerism implies that she remains neutral on the matter for the time being.  "Might I inquire as to your purpose for coming to Tar Valon?" she asks curiously.  [Egwene]

(OoC)-> Egwene says, 'Erm, perceptive BROWN eyes.'

(OoC)-> Egwene says, 'I was seeing green text, and was thinking green. :P'

(OoC)-> Raeda says, 'You just want to be Aiel.'

Raeda nods sagely.

Egwene grins evilly.

(OoC)-> Egwene says, 'I practically am!'

Egwene flexes her muscles proudly!

Svoran doesn't have a bloody thing to say right now.  First, he heard something that put the cat alone in a room full of cream.  It doesn't show on his face; he doesn't even glance at Jezz as the Amyrlin discusses certain matters with her.  It /certainly/ took a little bit of stress off his mind, a very subtle adjustment of those big shoulders.  Beyond that, he'll just stand there and listen.

"Of course, Mother. It's prescisely what I did." Jezz bows her head and spreads her hands, palms up, in obeisance to the matter. Her voice calm in supplication, "Rasim and five of his spears, only, were allowed as my guests until we could meet with you," Jezz settles her hands back into her lap. "Fellow sisters informed that the Aiel were here if they wished their warders to spar with them." She looks like she is about to say more, with a glance toward Svoran, but instead she continues with, "But it was not my intention to subject the trainees, many still learning which end of a sword is sharp, then to pair them with our guests."   [Jezz]

(OoC)-> Jezz says, 'I had to change something, it was sounding catty.. >.>'

(OoC)-> Raeda says, 'Nothing wrong with that.'

Raeda smiles at you.

You grin evilly at her.

Svoran licks you playfully.  Ewww, Svoran slobber!

Egwene grins evilly.

Rasim listens to the wetlanders' petty bickering, the glint of amusement fading from his eyes to be replaced by a clear expression of disappointment, but he responds to the Roofmistress as requested.  "The Wise Ones sent us here to aid you, should you need it, in your new post.  Those young men are to protect you and your sisters.  I thought we could help them acheive that goal."  He falls silent, but the withering tone, directed at Svoran as he says this, clearly implies that he now feels this offer was a mistake.  "We have no obligation to your sisters or those boys.  Only to you.  If we are unwelcome, we will take our leave.  He is the First Spear, here.  It his his decision."  He gestures to Kharys once again, this time it the meaning is most certainly clear even to the wetlanders - a gesture to follow him.  For the first time since the two Aes Sedai seated themselves, his body stirs as he prepares to depart.

Kharys nods very slightly as Egwene speaks judiciously to the Warder and the Aes Sedai, then turns her light eyes to Rasim to wait for his response.  Seeing nothing to add to this, the older Maiden simply returns her gaze to the young Amyrlin with a nod of support - and farewell. [NPC played by Raeda]

Svoran giggles at Rasim's actions.

Rasim shrugs helplessly.

(OoC)-> Rasim says, 'You are, so far as he is concerned, the leader of the Warders.  He didn't know that before, since you were rude and failed to introduce yourself, like most wetlanders.  He won't gainsay you, though.'

Rasim bats his eyelashes innocently at Svoran.

You snicker softly.

Svoran cackles gleefully at Rasim.

Rasim bats his eyelashes innocently at Svoran.

You snicker softly.

Svoran cackles gleefully at Rasim.

(OoC)-> Raeda says, 'I'll let you touch mine.  But only with your heart.'

(OoC)-> Rasim says, 'Those stabbing spears are overshadowed in unrealistic stupidity only by randlandian swords.'

You grin evilly at her.

Svoran nods sagely at Rasim.

Egwene glances at Svoran briefly, perhaps taking note of his relaxing shoulders, and then she turns her attention to Jezz as the Green Sister further elaborates on her reasons for doing as she did.  She inclines her head slightly to Jezz, and then turns her attention to Rasim and Kharys.  She listens to Rasim in the same calm manner.  "I have already stated, Rasim of the Bent Peak Daryne, that my water is yours.  You are welcome," she says firmly.  "Please do not go."  Her lips press together in a slightly vexed expression as they seem to be preparing to depart.  Her eyes turn to Svoran.  "I shall now address your concerns.  While it is indeed your decision as to what the trainees are to learn, you are not in command of our bonded Gaidin, and what they may learn on their own.  I shall decree that individual fully trained Gaidin who wish to train with the Aiel, may do so.  The Trainees, as always, are under your purview."  She lifts an eyebrow at Svoran, her expression firm, to indicate this her final word on the matter.  [Egwene]

"It has been my hope since I was raised to the Amyrlin Seat," she adds with a glance to the Aiel, and then to Jezz, "that we might make a similar arrangement with the Aiel in time.  I see no reason not to allow it.  My greater concern," she says, focusing her eyes on Rasim again, "is the 'small number' of Aiel camped outside the city.  We are suffering from issues of overcrowding.  I welcome your assistance if you are offering it.  However, I do have concerns for feeding yet another army in addition to those we brought with us from Salidar.  If you were to stay," she asks Rasim and Kharys, "how would you propose supporting yourselves so as not to strain the resources of my roof?"  [Egwene]

(OoC)-> Raeda says, 'And now it's SVORAN'S turn.'

You nod sagely at her.

Svoran cackles gleefully at Raeda.

"It was not my intention, Mother, to insinuate that sisters' chosen Warders were ... under my jurisdiction.  If Jezz Sedai felt I was being that way, then perhaps she and I can arrange a form of penance for the mistreatment."  A /reasonable/ penance, his undertone says, with a glance to the Green as if that wasn't clear alone.  That's what his response is; the other question, that of food and other logistics, doesn't really concern him right now, though it's obvious from the twitch of his eyebrow that he's curious about the matter himself.  His attention will go to the spear-waggers in full now, cutting the pretense by turning and looking directly at them both, arms loosely folded.  It's not like he expects an attack after the apparent words between Amyrlin and Aiel, but that doesn't mean he's not discounting the possibility, dim as it may.  [Svoran]

"Mother, if I may be so bold." Jezz begins quietly, a lick to her lips before proceeding, "I know you are busy with the new position, and time being precious. I spent considerable time with a Wise One of the Reyn Hold this past Fall." Or so I believe I was able to stick that part of her time with Toriko, "If any Aes Sedai wish to learn of the Aiel, I am familiar and can act as guide. I have been wishing to speak with any of the Wise One's in their camp, myself." Glancing at Svoran with a flash of a verdant glare, Jezz presses Sabrina back to the back of her mind. The flare subsides, and so does any rebuttal or retort. She turns to Egwene, "A simple misunderstanding that can be decided between we two, unless you or a Grey Sister wish to mediate." She leaves it at that.  [Jezz]

Raeda chuckles at you.

Svoran giggles girlishly at you.

(OoC)-> Jezz says, 'Took me a second to figure out how to push Sabrina back down.. damn mpd'

Egwene's question in conjunction with his current temper, is enough to briefly interrupt the Sovin Nai's characteristic detachment.  "In this soft place?  We will feed ourselves.  A child could do it."  He schools himself back to his normal expression, mastering his pique with a deep breath.  "However, I would not overtax your hold's resources.  I will lead nearly all of the Algai'd'siswai away, back to our main camp in Andor.  To meet our obligations here, I will leave 1,000 Spears here in case you need them.  Any Gaidin who wishes to train my train with them.  They will not enter the city unless specifically requested."  He takes a moment to let this long spiel settle, and then adds in a formal tone, "May you find water an shade, this day and all days, Egwene al'Vere."  with that, he really does head towards the edge of the little screened off nook, clearly intent on leaving this place.  At the edge of the screen he pauses briefly and turns to Jezz.  "I delivered your message to the Wise Ones in camp.  You are always welcome to accompany us, Aes Sedai.  I was told to say, 'There is one like you in Caemlyn.'  We leave at dawn the day after tomorrow."  [Rasim]

Kharys stops shifting toward the door as Egwene speaks, her head tilting as her platinum eyebrows lift in sincere confusion for the woman's concerns.  As she turns back to fully face the Amyrlin, she brushes her hands together, flickering her fingers quickly at her spear-brother and attending his return answer.  While Rasim verbalizes his response to the small assembly, Kharys schools her face to neutrality once again.  If she disagrees at all with the Sovin Nai's decision and explanation, there is nothing about her to indicate it.  For only the second time, her gentle voice floats out across the small distance.  "May you find water and shade, Egwene al'Vere."  With that, she follows and then eclipses Rasim past the screen when he turns back to address Jezz.  Her nearly silent steps make her effectively disappear  once out of sight. [NPC played by Raeda]

Egwene glances between Svoran and Jezz briefly, and inclines her head.  "I shall leave it to the two of you to resolve the matter between yourselves," she says diplomatically.  It also gives her one less thing to do.  "As for the other matter, I would certainly like to encourage relations between the White Tower and the Aiel," she says with a faint smile.  "I shall leave that matter in your capable hands.  I, too, have spent time among the Aiel, and value their wisdom greatly.  Perhaps we might speak on the matter later."  She glances at Rasim and Kharys, a slight apology in her expression for speaking of their people as if they were not there.  She listens to Rasim's response, and considers the matter thoughtfully for a time.  Then she nods her head to both Aiel.  "That would be an acceptable solution.  May you find water and shade."  She inclines her head to Rasim and Kharys, and rises from her seat.  "Is this matter resolved, then?  If so, then you are dismissed," she says to Svoran and Jezz.  [Egwene]

Svoran, at least, considers it closed.  "Mother," he murmurs, after turning back to regard the Amyrlin's eyes with his own.  He'll genuflect, of course, but briefly.  He's still not willing to leave the Aiel out of his sight completely.  He'll also not be the first to the door either, for the record, as he makes no move for it afterwards.  And in perhaps a shocking move, will even offer a hand should the Green want to get off her butt from sitting down.  (No doubt she'll see a hint of amusement looking behind those hard eyes of his, quickly squelched.)

The Green sister turns to glance over toward the retreating aiel, "Water and shade to you both, Rasim, Sovin Nai of the Bent Peak Daryne and Kharys, Far Daeis Mai of the Bitter Water Taarded," her smile warm, "I will see if my duties will allow me the journey to Caemlyn soon. Thank you for relaying the message." Returning her attention to Egwene, she rises and gives a deeper curtsy then the one she came in with, completely refusing the offered hand, "I would love to speak with you further, time permitting, of course. If the Aiel are returning to Caemlyn, I would ask leave to go with them, as well as any other Aes Sedai willing to join me." Lastly, she turns to Svoran, "We can discuss a solution to our misunderstandings in private." With that, she turns to follow the Aiel out.  [Jezz]

(OoC)-> Raeda says, '*Is not actually gone, is waiting in ambush on the other side of the screen, veiled, with a spear pointed chest-height to Svoran*'

You cackle gleefully at Raeda

Egwene grins evilly.

Svoran licks Raeda playfully.

(OoC)-> Svoran says, 'These pecs aren't for show, they bend spearpoints. *flex* :P'

Rasim nods once to Jezz.  "Water and shade, Aes Sedai."  With that he turns and follows his spear-sister out of the  Amyrlin's office and back out into the tower.

Kharys is sadly not waiting in ambush behind the screen, she is in fact, well and truly gone. [NPC played by Raeda]
