03-02-2013 Master of Arms Office A large wooden desk dominates
the center of the room, it's surface worn smooth
by long years of use. An elegant chair is positioned behind
the desk. A bowl of dried, blood-red sealing wax
is being used as a paperweight on top of several important-looking
documents. A metal stand sits to the right of the chair
with pegs jutting out to hold a sword and shield. There
are several bookshelves along the walls filled with books
of every subject. A large map of the known world is pinned
to one wall with several other, colored pins marking
various locales. A large Tairen rug covers most of the marble
floor. [ Exits: e ] mA large, Tairen rug

From the Amyrlin's
office, Jezz eventually fell into step with Svoran, giving him a sideways glance that meant she would have this discussion
with him now, rather than later. With his path leading back to his office, she steps in (before or after him - depending on
if he's the gracious host or not) into the office, pausing near the door to give the sparse room a lookover. [Jezz] Svoran is willing
to play gracious host for now, but he was quiet the entire time, thinking. One
could mistake it for brooding, if they didn't know him well, but one thing that is clear is that he was considering the discussion
from earlier all the same. Even after he'll shut the door, the most that would
really happen is that he leans against it, quiet, waiting. You can sit down even
at the desk if you want, as far as he's concerned. Like before, he'll stand,
and he'll still keep his arms folded, attention fixated solely on you now. The
other matter can wait until this is done. With the door
closed behind them, Jezz turns to regard him, crossing her arms across her chest, "Spit it out. I'm not
going to stand here all day in a staring contest." her voice is terse and blunt, to the point. "What
is this business about penance? I wont concede to anything until I know your mind about it, and even then, it depends on what
it happens to be. I will refuse, if I feel its too much." [Jezz] "I'm
willing to admit fault for some of that, Aes Sedai. That's the little bit about
penance," he replies in that gravel voice. "The only
comfort I have right now is that none of the students saw the real squabbling. That
alone would have been enough for penance in my mind at the least." He
grunts, sourly, shifting slightly against the door. "It's
that bloody simple." [Svoran] "I
dont air my dirty laundry in the view of men and the Creator." Jezz responds, a frown creasing her forehead, but its
not in anger. Something in the change of his tone, or the stance, or.. something. "My warders are gone,
which you know, but that also means I don’t get the same level of training they put me through. I run laps daily, but
I'm missing the staff work that Valaur put me through." She turns away to meander over toward the desk, glancing over
whatever paperwork might be there, and pushing the closest to the side of the desk a few inches inward so she can lean against
the desk, hands braced against the edge. "Why don’t you take this up. You would get the satisfaction
of busting my ass in the practice ring. I would get the practice." [Jezz] (OoC)-> Svoran says,
'Giggity, the staff work.' You chuckle politely. (OoC)-> Jezz says,
'I mentioned something to Essy earlier today, and he totally took it to the gutter too' You stare at the sky. Svoran throws back his
head and cackles with insane glee! Those dark eyes
don't even blink as you respond in kind, but they do glance at the stack you moved, one that he had been sifting through before
the Amyrlin had sent her desire to... resolve the matter. "I'm
surprised you don't ask those Aiel for that. Using a spear isn't that far different,
so I understand. Plus, you said yourself that you have connections with them. I also don't see how thumping you during training really constitutes penance, since
that's something that's to be expected during training," he adds dryly. "That said, Aes Sedai, I'm willing to let the matter be buried, with a little restitution for making such a fuss;
I'm not going to insist on taking you to task about the matter. The Amyrlin already
did that as it was, in my mind, I don't see a need to belabor it." [Svoran] "You've
already sent them away." The Murandian Sister responds quietly, "Besides, my interest with the
Aiel has more to do with their Wise Ones, not their Maidens. I'll not have my standing with them be degraded just so I can
run amok with the maiden spears." The last is matched in dry tone, "I ask /you/ because it is /you/
who took offense. Though I don't see why I should serve any penance other than what I had done in the Healing rooms. I acknowledge..."
She glances away with a low sigh, "that it was uncalled for." She returns her verdant gaze back
to Svoran. [Jezz] The deep breath
he takes is a subtle thing, visible mostly because it tends to cause his clothing to be a little bit tighter around him from
the expansion of his torso. There's a brief moment when those dark eyes shut
in what could be an extended blink if one didn't know better. "I
think I need to think alone, Aes Sedai," he finally says quietly, and at that his gaze drops to the floor. "And I think we both agree that we were... out of line in our own ways. If nothing else, I think our acts right now are penance enough, do you not?" There's a glance upwards, at that, but only a glance. The
floor is very interesting. [Svoran] Pushing herself
off the side of the desk, Jezz glides over with a swishing of green silk to where he stands, her hand reaching up to tilt
his chin so he would look at her, should he allow her that much. "Come with me to Caemlyn." she
gives a little wave of her hand dismissing the next retort, "I know you were to travel with Rayenia Sedai,
but what she was looking for has been found. Though, I think I will take her with me." She's close as it is, but she
brings her face a fraction closer to his to whisper conspiratorially, "I think you misjudge them, but
come with me, see for yourself." She offers the barest of smiles, but steps back so as not to be all up in his face. [Jezz] Svoran isn't particularly
going to fight you, particularly given the behavior he's demonstrating right now. "I told her I would go with her, provided she agreed to certain conditions.
Which she did. The first of which was that I'd be a little annoyed if
I was removed from this post for wandering off from the Tower, even though I'd make arrangements for my absence anyway,"
he says dryly. "There's also the matter of you implying right
now I should expect to get stabbed with a spear or three during the trip." That's
also dry, though the way he talks, he considers it funny if anything. 'Typical
Green', his words suggest. "And if you think I misjudge Aiel,
I think you don't know two figs about me, Green. I was neither lying, joking,
or belittling the point I was making about the sentiment of people about them. The
Tower's had enough grief in its history; I don't see a need to assent to potentially more when tensions are still present." "Of
course, those same conditions can still be met. I would not keep you away from your main duties long." She replies
calmly, considering this something of a negotiation since he hasn’t completely thrown her out, "There
is a certain Wise One I need to meet and once pleasantries have been exchanged and a working trust has been established, then
I would return here. I have no interesting in being away from the White Tower long. Grieving, hiding, whatever you want to
call it." She waves a hand dismissively. "To be gone from the Tower long means finding another
warder," her voice cracks slightly, something slides across her gaze of sorrow and pain, but its brief, as if it wasn’t
there at all, "and I have no desire for one at present. To insinuate that I would wish to see you stabbed
during the trip..." She sighs in exasperation, "I would not wish harm to any man tied to the White
Tower. But I would like to show you what I see, then we both can return to our duties here." [Jezz] Svoran cackles gleefully
at you. Better keep your distance from him. You grin evilly at him. (OoC)-> Svoran says, 'Totally throwing tricky wording at me.' You snicker with him
about something. (OoC)-> Jezz says, 'And yet, she is completely honest' Svoran licks you playfully. Ewww, Svoran slobber! You nudge Svoran, trying
to encourage him. The look you get
makes it obvious he read quite a bit into part of that, but for once he doesn't comment with anything aside from the fact
that snarky commentary was very strongly considered. Either way, it's sufficient
for now, and he'll step aside. "There is one thing that came
to mind, but we can discuss that on the way, or when we're there. I want time
to think first." [Svoran] Jezz inclines
her head with a dip into a small curtsey, "I have a few things to prepare for anyway. Thank you, Master
Beridar, for your time." She waits for him to step from the door, before opening it to leave. She gives him a glance
over her shoulder, considering him briefly, then turns to leave.
